Homi is a real estate marketplace app for the Malabar region of Kerala, operated by Homi Holdings. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
To create an account, we ask for your phone number. We use this to send a one-time password (OTP) through our verification partner, MSG91, to confirm you're a real person and to sign you in. We don't require an email address or password.
With your permission, Homi accesses your device's location to show you properties near you and to filter search results by locality and district. If you list a property, we also use your location — via Mapbox — to help you pin the exact location of that property on a map. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings — you'll still be able to browse, search, and list manually by entering a location.
If you list a property (land, house, building, or hotel/lodge/PG) for sale, rent, or lease, we collect the details you provide: property type, price, area, address or locality, amenities, and any photos you upload. Listing photos are stored using Cloudflare R2 and are shown publicly to other users browsing the marketplace.
We automatically collect basic technical information — such as device type, app version, and crash or performance logs — to help us fix bugs and keep the app running smoothly.

Each of these providers only receives the minimum information needed to perform its function (for example, MSG91 receives your phone number solely to deliver the OTP).
Homi's backend and database run on servers we operate, with data encrypted in transit via SSL. Listing photos are stored separately with Cloudflare R2. We keep your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
Homi is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
We may update this policy as Homi evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
